PostSubject: Re: (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong   (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong EmptySun Feb 08, 2015 1:32 am

* A human, a mere mortal given power from the outer cosmos a Man name Lao given the title ‘The meteor’ enters into the Arena preparing himself for combat,  ready to engage in the tournament.  Lao, fairly average sized man standing at 5’ 9” with a moderately built form.  Blue eyes covered by a very odd visor, a way he enhances sight through being able to look at every form of light ranging from radio waves to Gamma waves.  Though his body was average his armor gave him a rather bulky look, an armored chest plate made of solid tungsten carbide, an extremely durable alloy that rivals and almost trumps steel.  Aside from the chest plate the rest of his clothing was made of rubber resistant to Fire and Ice reinforced with carbon nanotubes giving it extremely light weight but almost impenetrable defenses.  His weapons were that of a solid tungsten carbide retractable katana with 2 extra blades hidden in the hilt if one becomes broken, a High Caliber pistol loaded with Armor piercing ammo that can shred its victim on the inside with 2 extra magazines on the holster, and a gauntlet that gives him remarkable abilities.  His abilities almost solely based upon kinetic energy which is why they call him The Meteor since his abilities range around Kinetic energy.  Though his defenses are already superb his main ability that being known as a kinetic barrier, a barrier that can repel and reflect on coming attacks with the same amount of energy but deflects nearly every form of kinetic energy at a cost of the energy of the barrier to become more fragile the more Lao is attacked, Luckily for him it can replenish but takes a considerable amount of time.  His favorite ability deals with him moving around the battle field almost similar to teleporting, the flash stepping however is short ranged and cannot exceed 10 meters, the down side to him using his teleportation is him losing some of his barrier as he moves around but can continuously use the flash step but that will cause his shields to be delayed on recharge for a longer amount of time.  The gauntlet is a way he is given these abilities but it’s not a form of armor it is a weapon, since it is a weapon he is able to shoot energy of the barrier out through the palm of his hand, when the beam of energy strikes a surface the end of the beam explodes similar to a grenade, but some of his abilities it causes his barrier to drain, he will only be able to use 5 shots of the beam before his barrier is completely depleted.  His barrier depletes the more he attacks with his energy, one ability gives him an edge that can cause his barrier to completely restore, a signature move of his known as the kinetic slam, 3 extra layers add to his barrier giving him nearly impenetrable defenses for a short few seconds increasing his mass,  then a blast of kinetic energy then boosts him forward at high speed  enough to blast through thick stone like a battering ram, but as he makes contact with the opponent the barriers explode as well excluding the inner most one, the blast from the barriers only doubles the force of the energetic tackle and fully recharges his barrier but takes a large time window to reuse.  His sword being his main weapon, can be given add effects with his gauntlet, his gauntlet gives the sword when slashed in Lao’s off hand a shockwave effect with nearly Three thousand five hundred pounds of force when slashed, though strong the attack is quite slow only traveling at about as fast as 20 miles per hour and can only travel a total distance of 30 meters effectively the plus side to the shock wave is its area of effect of 10 meters in diameter when blasted, this ability can wear him down quite a lot taking out half his shields for a blow that strong.   Regardless of his defenses it does not hold him back as far as agility and speed, these that give him durability give him edge for that he can travel at tremendous speeds and can rattle off attacks that can stagger an opponent or ultimately blow them away.   His best weapon was not something on his person, a special mechanical suit that he can call down from low orbit outfitted with airburst missiles and triple strength of his original abilities including his beams of energy and the kinetic tackle, luckily like most types of vehicles there is a function when the integrity of the mech suit is breached he can eject from the suit to safety or simply flash stepping out of the vehicle, but that is in the case of the area being enclosed and inside an interior.  He however should not have any problem with having to deal with fighting on the interior.  Wide open spaces, a few places for cover, but are miniscule and only can last for a few attacks. He is absolutely stoked for this fight, ready to defeat and continue to climb the ladder of champions.  His gauntlet charging, glowing at the palm, his sword extended, held tightly in the main hand with a fresh blade in which he had stored away in the hilt after shattering the first one with a new blade inserted into the hilt so that he still has the same amount of blades if needed, barriers then rise up invisible to the basic human eye, and heavy deep breaths start entering and exiting through his nose.  His victory was short lived in the first round,  since his first opponent bowed out, Lao is itching for a fight, he wants to excel and properly go through the ladder and not just be given a boost like last time, hopefully his opponent will not let him down this time. *

(1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong Empty
PostSubject: Re: (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong   (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong EmptySun Feb 08, 2015 1:58 am

Rook remained solitary, a comforting position perched upon a small batch of leaves scattered on the forrest grounds, result of the passing over storm that was on the verge of breaking out over the dry patched land, in need of water from nature's sources. Rook had a calm presence of himself, despite the hollowed shell of a robotic life form, he was able to comprehend his balance and harmony. Little had he understood the concept's of appointed battling for the sake of a game, though to his Master's words, a tournament is honorable and rewards those who particpate with great ceremony and recognition. Rook had no interest in trophies, glamored feasts or chanted names, no, rather that of his self dignity and recognition. Rook contained only a spirit, a spirit that was hungry for finding itself. Rook saw the first pelt of rainwater striking down before him on the ground, the trees above dancing to the whistling rustle of the wind's passing. Leaves drying of the autumn pass were left to spring from their branches and fall to the surface flooring below. Rook felt the presense, not only of the storm that would soon arrive, but rather that of something entirely different. He knew he would have an opponent meet him within the center of the wood, the time was unknown to him, though the expetancy of a visitor was not that of a surprise to him. Rook would slowly bring his hands from their restingn position upon his lap, where had sat for several hours mediatating to the best of his abilities, while bringing upward his arms he would pull the katana that was lain before him in a resting position, awaiting to be picked up before the pre-appointed sparring session. Rook had no intention of hurrying his movement's, those that rush into battle are met with illest fate. He slowly raised himself upward into a standing position, using his toes and legging strength to raise the four hundred and twenty pound hunk of outer shelling of his. Rook brought himself back into his standing position before turning to his opponent to whom had just arrived. Rook made a clever note of the man, inspecting his weaponary, his body build and overall appearnce that might become handy within the battle to come. He was a tall man, garbed in metallic accessory, weaponary was an unknown source despite Rook's ability to examine specifications of his opponent using a holographic sensory detailer within his helmet orb. Rook remained within the calm state he was in before the approach of the strange, making it into the semi-final matches wtihin the tournament, Rook had no reason to think of this man as a lucky warrior, but rather that of someone who was skilled within the art of fighting, Rook respected those warriors. With a solitary bow, he would lower his back and bring his head and shoulders down, paying his respects for the warrior before him, allowing him confidence in his opponent and within himself for respect. Rook brought his body upward and brought a single hand to the katana that was perched upon his side, held tightly together by the leather boundings that stretched over his shoudlder, hip and lower back, the straps themselves, buckled and tightly securing one other katana upon the outer facing's of his back. The second katana was reassurance of his primary weapon breaking, a skilled Samurai does not need to even raise but his sword once, but when instances of stronger opoonents comes to play, it never hurts to have a secondary ready for defenses. Rook let out a soft amount of steam from his body components, exhurting that of dispelling sources of his speed and quickness, he would need both in the fight before him if he had chance against a formidable foe. Rook brought outward his hand that tightly gripped the hilt of his sheathed katana and brought it forth before him, illuminating the blade with a sparkling delight of small static electricity that shimmered up and down the enlined edging of it's sharpened end. The katana jolted slightly, the rain pouring and bouncing off it's edging allowing a soft TSST to sound out before him, competing with the sound of rain now pelting at the metallic armor of Rook's robotic shell. The rain coated over his dirty grey cloak, the hood collecting a small amount of water as it drizzled heavier now, the idea of a strong storm very well evidenced now. Rook shifted his footwork and stance, the mudded ground below him now, resulting from the rainfall was making the ground a slipperly slope for both opponents, relying on stationary stances were to be the best chance for corrected battle and defensive manuevures. Rook brought upward his head to face his opponent, allowing the movement of his opponent to be in full visible spectrum for Rook to use against him, as thunder clapped through the sky, an orchestrated spectical of lightning filled the sky, illuminating even the surface of the forrest, shining out details of the wooded paths and small rivers that flowed through it, the sky was darkening as the clouds continued to roll in. Rook held tight to his katana, awaiting the first offensive attack to roll from his opponent, Rook would not allow dishonor from his Master, nor from himself.

(1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong Empty
PostSubject: Re: (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong   (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong EmptySun Feb 08, 2015 3:17 am

*He saw his opponent bow, before him seeing that this opponent shows respect he returns the favor in kind, but a storm is beginning to roll in leaving Lao at a disadvantage.  The rainfall and the thunder streaming down from the sky are extremely dangerous.  The rain falling from the clouds above means heavy droplets of water crashing into the barrier, leaving his main abilities almost useless unless he finds cover from the storm.  Kinetic energy crashing into the barrier means there will be wear and tear to the barrier.  He will be forced into close range he doesn’t want to go barreling in full force, it will leave him exposed. Kai then has no choice but to attack head on or it means risking his victory.  With the charge of the gauntlet set, and barriers depleting he must barrel in with a tackle. Nervousness sets in, he does not want to lose, his mind set is winning and failure is no option. Lighting claps and a flash of light resonates in the sky as water droplets slap the barrier being sent upwards at the same speed and at the angle of them falling being sent away in the angled direction.  The barrier becomes visible as the kinetic energy from the rain hits him,  he did not take a battery pack to restore them, his hope is the Kinetic slam, a tackle of energy that will increase Laos mass and create extra barriers on the outside and another barrier on the interior to restore them but that will cause him to be at close range unless he sends his opponent flying back a good distance, and the speed of the slam could cause Lao to stumble with the ground becoming moist from the water falling from above.  So his gauntlet is charged, “All or nothing,” he says in his head, energy builds up around him causing the barriers to become visible glowing faintly in a shaded purple hue.  He raises his arms as energy begins to climb at an alarmingly swift pace as the energy builds in front of him from the core of his body then wraps around his body as he is then catapulted forward at an intense speed from the energy wrapping around him and striking him in the back, from a considerably short distance given the speed reaching the velocity of Three hundred miles per hour.  If contact is made he will come to a screeching halt and the 2 outer most barriers will burst creating a highly effective blast wave generating intense heat from the molecules in the surrounding vicinity to strike together causing friction and a force that can jumble organs of a living being and rupture them plus the organs to become disfigured,  followed by another behind it doubling the impact force of him slamming into his opponent, but since his opponent is robotic and there for synthetic it will cause massive dents and possibly broken components on the interior that can cause short circuiting from blast damage or if the interior becomes exposed from the blast as rainfall an electrical components to short circuit, but knowing if there is a backup to that is unknown just a guess if there will be short circuiting. Once he reaches his target if he does not make contact he will go screeching across the mud and softened soil beneath them but the likely hood of him making contact is highly probable but still possible to avoid since the energy when in short range wraps around him from his lower spine toward the cored of his body the energy would push his opponent toward him this into the slam but that is if the opposing force is within a minuscule range of 6 inches.  It will cause massive damage if contact is made either from the initial attack or the blast wave, the rain will however weaken the outside barrier which will be a weakened blast wave that will fire out from the outer most shell.  As he barrels toward his opponent the rain creates an effect to where the rain will morph together like a splash from a bucket as the speed of this slam creates an effect to where the barriers around him and the water forming as he strikes the rainfall will create an effect to where his attack will take shape in the form of a meteor going straight for the robotic entity and when the blast wave strikes a high speed splash of water to cause very minor trauma (almost like a bruise) will go hurling in all directions causing the blast wave to be visible.*

(1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong Empty
PostSubject: Re: (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong   (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong EmptySun Feb 08, 2015 5:00 am

Rook watched as the as the man before him was prepping his attack, before Rook had realized, despite what his thermal sensory could not have picked up through his vision under the visor. The propulsion that was being emitted by the being before him, Rook would have never picked up on the field themselves if it not for the rain, allowing him to see the exact range of the shields themselves. Despite this, Rook had an idea that there was more to this man than just the shields that he was displaying. Rook would keep up his defenses despite all of this, he gave a quick twirl of his katana whilst keeping his attention upon the man. Rook eyed him as the rain continued to pour down with relentless force, the man sprang from the ground, the ground below him somewhat lifting and mud blasted from the ground as he sprang from up it. The mud fell to the ground as the man was now mid-air and quickly flying toward Rook. The man's speed were greater than he had witness from a mere human before, though that all entirely may have been Rook's disadvantage, judging the capabilities of this man by mere sight alone, which was a fatal flaw that was within his main programming. Rook lowered his body and brought his head up, watching the man in midair, attempting to draw a trajectory path before the man was to hit the ground, upon his heads-up display an arrow would be drawn before the man, revealing based on his leap, the exact spot he would be heading toward before hitting the ground. Rook's alert lighting began to buzz static like within his helmet based on the rain, disrupting his display leaving his somewhat blind while his systems attempted to keep up with a processioning antenna that was sprang in orange paint on the rear end of his helmet. Rook was alerted that when the man were to strike the ground that he would be at the exact location that Rook himself was standing in, a marvelous judge of distance from the man, tipping the hint to Rook that this man was well trained in his art of slight acrobatic fighting style, added on along with his force fields that were played up. Rook reacted quickly, for his body too was fast. With a quick jolt of his head he brought his eyes back to the man, the rain playing a valuable secret to him that would help with this particular attack the man was distributing. As to the naked eye and the rain helping, it would appear as though the one shield would remain up while the man attacked, increasing it somewhat, though the rain bouncing off the emitters, would reveal that several kinetic fields were up now, the rain proving the exact range of his newly formed kinetic fields. In the blink of an eye, the man struck the ground, the force of the blast was severe, though with footing of Rook's reaction speed, he caught the slightest of blunt force trauma that he could endure, and still to that fact he was blasted backwards, his body spinning and limped as he flew through the air like a rag-doll. The force of the kinetic blast was so strong, as it threw Rook near across the forest he would hit a tree, breaking through it's years of growing trunk density nearly in half, tipping the tree as he fell. As his broke through the tree, Rook regained his composure whilst in mid-air and used a small amount of steam to balance out his fall back to the ground, with a elegant spin he brought his body forth and landed on his feet, touching the ground and sliding a few paces back as the mud was still riddled all across the forest, Rook shook his arms as they were slow to log back into his system understanding, as though that blast had disrupted his internal memory. Rook didn't take the time for a retaliation, this time he would advance the attack, as with an attack that strong, it must have drained some remaining energy the man had to produce for something to externally produce shields, something not so mental, but physically attached or inside his body, Rook was to find out. Rook's shoulders sprang open, his forearms doing the same, small canisters revealed themselves as though a trick up his sleeve from the get go, from within those canisters small can shaped missiles were placed, spear tipped as though an arrow head. With a puff of white smoke, and with great velocity they sprang from his arms and shoulders, the puff of white smog left by their afterburners, were leading them toward the man, not directly at his body but to the area around him. The missiles exploded near the man, destroying the two trees that were grown beside him, massive oaks, stretching far into the sky, giving the impression to the viewer that they have been growing in this forest for hundred of years. The missile explosions destroyed the two tree's lower bases causing them to fall the opposite of the man, leaving him in no danger of being crushed. They were falling behind him when Rook took his plan to part two. With the giant rectangular holsters propped on each side of his body, four, two to each canister fired zip-line type mechanisms from their placing and mimicking the previous missiles, arrow tipped, they strongly attached themselves to the falling tree trunks, the force of the falling trees would begin to pull Rook at an alarming speed toward the man, with this he brought his katana upward, spinning whilst still attached to the zip-lines, cutting them from his canister and bringing him face to face with the opposing man, the force of the tree's falling bringing his speed up tenfold, as he approached in the air, he brought his katana toward his chest, hoping for a landing blow.

(1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong Empty
PostSubject: Re: (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong   (1st Tournament Round 2) Rook vs. Lao Wong EmptySun Feb 08, 2015 6:35 am

*The Kinetic Slam was a hit! A huge shockwave was sent into the air blasting trees down and destroying the structures around them, shields restored to 100% he is free of threats for the time being.  The downside is that the autonomous robot took the hit considerably well seeing that it is still standing.  The slam of energy was so powerful yet it is still standing, “this thing must have the armor of a tank,” he states as he is in shock.  He then from a moderate distance see’s the arms point in his general direction, he flinches when he sees smoke, traveling at a high speed.  The trees burst around him he flinches and kneels down on his right leg as if he is about to take the hit the blast he only takes miniscule damage from the blast depleting the shields by a good 20% from the shrapnel, he then looks up looking at the opponent standing back up as he leans on the ball of the foot on the right foot then regains posture as more projectiles fly by this time striking the tree he looks at the tree then quickly turns his head toward the robotic entity, traveling at high speed having only a small time window of a little over a half a second.  He could not react, he takes the blade to the chest, but he is lucky that his barriers are up at a whopping  80% rapidly reach zero as the attack hits the barrier reflecting it back, so the force of the slash would be would be reflected back with the same amount of force and from him being hit by the attack with full force he is knocked down by the force of the slash, he has no cover from the trees now so recharging his shields would almost be impossible.   He grips the sword and the gauntlet begins to glow purple at the palm, ready to engage in Close Quarters Combat.  He somersaults backward using the force from the momentum of the slash rolling on the blades of the shoulders curling his neck forward toward his chest rolling on the shoulder blades then standing upright then at a 90 degree bend of the knees then quickly extending to project himself up leaning back to follow up with a jump back flip then standing at a bend of the knees keeping light on the toes to move if needed giving a decent but short distance away from the cyborg (approximately 3 to 4 meters).  His main hand holding the sword held in front of him his offhand kept bent at 45 degrees keeping it up if he needs to defend. The blade is ready to parry whatever attack he sends, gauntlet charging so that if at the point he needs to do a phase jump (flashstep) to escape a barrage of attacks or possible an execution of a powerful melee combo, he only stands there ready to use the momentum of whatever attack is sent toward Lao to his advantage. The rain starts to crash upon his skin and clothing and the blade of the sword, causing vibrations as his blade hums faintly.*
